Steampunk Otome ‘Steam Prison’ Announced for Switch With Release Date

HuneX announced that their steampunk otome visual novel, Steam Prison, will launch on Nintendo Switch on February 25, 2021.

To celebrate the announcement, the developer released a new opening movie showing all of the characters. The game will support Japanese, English, and Chinese subtitles and features Japanese voice audio.

The Switch version features a new Opening Theme and the option to view the PC and PS Vita opening themes. Each character has received a new end video for the Good Endings, and a short story titled “Wedding Eve” has been added to Novel Mode. The developer has also confirmed that there will be new CG rewards for clearing the game.

Steam Prison is set in a world where life is great for a lucky class of citizens. They live in luxury and comfort in the utopian city that boasts a commanding view of the ravaged city below. The heroine, Cyrus Tistella, must leave the protection of the upper-class borders to travel The Depths to conduct a police operation. What she finds are hardworking individuals doing their best to survive. As she meets new people and learns their story, she tries to connect with this new world and the one she came from.

Steam Prison has players play through a steampunk story full of mystery and anime boys. Players can choose romance routes as they learn more about the cast of characters. Hopefully, the ending is a good one depending on the route the player takes.
