Valve has announced that the highly anticipated Steam Deck will be releasing on February 25, well, kind of. The first batch of order emails will be sent on that date for reservation holders, and those contacted will have roughly three days to confirm their purchases prior to those same reservations being sent further down the queue. Technically speaking, the Steam Deck will be making its way to customers on February 28, with new orders being shipped on an estimated weekly basis.
The following details from Valve regarding upcoming Steam Deck developments were provided:
- We will start sending invites shortly after 10:00 am on February 25 PST
- Order emails are sent in the same order that reservations were made
- You can only order the Steam Deck model that you originally reserved
- Your reservation deposit will be applied to the final price of Steam Deck, and shipping costs are included
Further details about the Steam Deck’s eventual arrival can be read via Valve’s latest news post.
Countless games will be playable on the Steam Deck, with many already having confirmed support. Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is one such game.
Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is set in the city of Balduq, which the Romun Empire has annexed. Thanks to Adol’s luck, he and his companion Dogi arrived, but the former was detained before even stepping inside. While imprisoned, he meets a woman named Aprilis, who turns him into a Monstrum, a being with supernatural gifts and the power to exorcise monsters.
