Stay Cool, Kobayashi-San!: A River City Ransom Story Gets PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC Release Date

Arc System Works announced that their beat-em-up action title Stay Cool, Kobayashi-San!: A River City Ransom Story will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam on November 7.

Stay Cool, Kobayashi-San!: A River City Ransom Story is a set in the Kunio-kun universe and contains an open-ended fighting system with multiple endings depending on the choices that players make during gameplay.

Stay Cool, Kobayashi-San!: A River City Ransom Story features a new story and 1 – 2 player local cooperative mode. Players take control of Masao Kobayashi throughout this time-traveling adventure to stop an evil organization. Kobayashi-san is joined by Kouki Mizoguchi and Kunio to handle things accordingly.

Stay Cool, Kobayashi-San!: A River City Ransom Story features brawling style action gameplay across multiple levels where players will be able to switch between characters who each have unique skills. Throughout the game, players will face off against bosses and learn new moves as they level up. The game also features characters from the Kunio-kun universe, but these characters can be either friend or foe and it’s meant to be a surprise.

Additionally, the developer released a new trailer showing gameplay and characters. This also gives players a preview of some of the game’s environments and systems.
