Starfield Reveals Timeline Leading Up to Campaign’s Events
The official Starfield website has been slowly updating as we quickly approach the game’s release on September 6. This time the website has introduced a timeline of events leading to the start of the game.
This timeline is located at the very bottom of the site, so those wanting to read the events will need to scroll past all the news and preorder suggestions.
It spans a little under 200 years and begins in the year 2050 with humans finally landing on Mars. The rest of the events are pretty similar to each other, comprising the founding of colonies on distant planets, as well as an Organization named Constellation.
There are also bullet points about wars over disputes over star systems and resources, leading to the purchase of a space station nicknamed “The Eye.” However, the events aren’t explained fully but indicate what roughly transpired before and the state of the universe as players begin to take flight.
The events are interesting enough and show that Bethesda has put a lot of thought into the world of Starfield even before any of the events can affect players.
You can view the official Starfield pre-campaign timeline at the bottom of this page.
In case you missed it, check out the game’s story trailer or the three animated trailers released.
Starfield takes place in the 2300s, following a Colony War between the United Colonies and Freestar Collective. Players will make their own characters who are part of the space explorer organization Constellation and navigate the uneasy peace that has come as a result of the bloody Colony War. Starfield was also previously stated to be available on Xbox Game Pass on launch day.
Starfield will be released on September 6, 2023, on Xbox and PC.
