EA announced that the Respawn-developed adventure Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has just received a free new content update across all platforms.
Returning players will discover a few new modes in Cal’s quest to save the Jedi. The publisher revealed Mediation Training, which the biggest update added to the game and can be accessed from Meditation points. Players will be able to face off against enemies and bosses across two different modes: Combat Challenges and the Battle Grid.
In a Combat Challenge, players will fight through waves of enemies across a variety of locations. During these fights will be additional challenges to add a uniqueness to each encounter. This mode is tailored to veteran players and best experienced when Cal is at his strongest. The mode features 12 challenges, which are rating up to three stars.
In Battle Grid, players will discover a sandbox for players to create their own encounters. This allows players to select the location, size of the encounter, and fine-tune the difficulty. Players can save their grids for future use and post their creations for others to replicate.
Additionally, the publisher revealed New Journey+. This was tough for the developer to do because the whole story is about Cal learning new powers. However, through this update, players can keep their collectibles, but the abilities will have to be relearned. This includes lightsaber parts, kyber crystal colors, and other aesthetic items. And yes, you get to keep every poncho.
Other improvements include:
- Option for button-mashing quick-time events to be skipped
- Needing to hold the Climb button can now be disabled.
- Holding a button to confirm/interact with something can be changed to a button press.
- Text size scaling options have been added.
