Roguelite RPG ‘Star Renegades’ Gets Console Release Date Set for Later This Month
Raw Fury announced that the Massive Damage-developed strategy RPG, Star Renegades, will launch on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on November 19. With a PlayStation 4 release scheduled for November 25.
At launch, the game will be available via Xbox Game Pass on Xbox One. There aren’t any mentions of differences between the console and PC version, which recently launched. So, it’s assumed this is more-or-less the same overall experience.
Star Renegades is a strategy RPG where players will need to outsmart their AI-driven enemies. Outside of battles, players will also forge new relationships and explore various environments to fight their way towards their objective.
During battles, players will find themselves in a turn-based battle system that emphasizes interrupts and counters. The mission-based campaign is procedurally generated, meaning that the conflicts that players encounter will each slightly vary, making each playthrough unique. The challenge also scales to the ranks to challenge the player. Relationships in the game are also different where players can form bonds with dozens of alternate characters, and from those bonds, possibly create progeny to continue the fight.
