Star Ocean The Second Story R Shares 6 Character Profiles

The official website for the upcoming 2.5D action JRPG, Star Ocean The Second Story R, contains profiles for the six unveiled characters. We have compiled these profiles, renders, and the characters’ voice actors.

Star Ocean: The Second Story R will feature fully voiced event scenes with the original voice cast, a newly arranged soundtrack by original composer Motoi Sakuraba with new songs, including some with a live band, as well as the new Break and Assault Action combat mechanics.

Players can anticipate two selectable protagonists, Claude and Rena, akin to the recently released Star Ocean The Divine Force. The Earth, Galaxy, and Universe difficulties will also be implemented. Further, the developer is Gemdrops, known for porting Star Ocean: The Second Evolution to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan.

Subtitled French, Italian, German, and Spanish language support will also be available via a launch day update.

An unhappy swordsman possessed by a two-headed dragon. A swordsman Claude and Rena encounter as they try to kill a two-headed dragon spoken of in Salva.​ He fights by mixing symbology with his dual-sword style.​

An inventor taking her own path in life.​ A young girl who lives with her father in the academically-driven town of Linga. Influenced by her inventor father, she’s taken an interest in machine technology, fighting with tools like the Robot Puncher in her backpack and Robbie, a small, transformable robot she developed.

Star Ocean: The Second Story R is releasing for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on November 2, 2023.
