SSSS.GRIDMAN Rikka Takarada 1/7 Scale Figure Pre-Orders Available

Figure retailer GoodSmile has announced that pre-orders are now available for a 1/7 scale figure of Rikka Takarada, a heroine from the anime series SSSS.GRIDMAN, until June 1, 2023.

Painted by Noa, manufactured by Phat!, and sculpted by YOSHI, this item accurately depicts the beloved character, with her endearing smile and lengthy legs being heavily emphasized.

SSSS.GRIDMAN is a loose adaptation of the tokusatsu series Denkou Choujin Gridman from the early 1990s. Additionally, prominent animation studio Trigger teamed up with Tsuburaya Productions for this ambitious 12-episode project. The series followed amnesiac protagonist Yuta Hibiki, a high-schooler suddenly finding himself simultaneously seeking his lost memories and dealing with suddenly appearing kaiju.

Bizarrely, Yuta can combine with the titular mech, the Gridman, to fend off the kaiju, with various allies he meets able to transform into weapons the towering structure can use in combat. Moreover, whenever these kaiju attacks conclude, people’s memories of the incidents vanish, and those who perish are forever forgotten. Uncovering the mysteries regarding these kaiju is another task for Yuta to deal with.
