Square-Up For a New Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable

Game.Watch.Impress has announced that a new Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable will be happening on March 21st. It’s set to take place at 3 PM JT (11 PM PT/1 AM ET) and will run for approximately two and a half hours.

While no big announcements are planned for the event, major fighting game companies like Capcom, SNK, SEGA, Arc System Works, Bandai Namco, and Arica are all participating. There will likely be discussion about fighting games as a genre, as well as potentially updates for each company’s current games.

More specifically, fighting game legends like Daisuke Ishiwatari and Akira Katano of Guilty Gear, Ryo Nishitani of Arica, Yasuyuki Oda of King of Fighters XV, Osamu Matsumoto of Street Fighter V, Moriji Aoki of Virtua Fighter, and of course, Katsuhiro Harada of Tekken, will all be participating. Even if there aren’t many announcements, seeing these visionaries discuss the genre should be worthwhile.

If there announcements, they’ll likely be similar to past announcements from these streams. I-No was announced for Guilty Gear Strive through this, while SNK announced Chizuru Kagura for King of Fighters XV, and teased the later reveal of Baiken for Samurai Shodown.

You can watch the stream when it happens on the Arc System Works Twitch as well as the Virtua Fighter YouTube channel.
