Square Enix Launches Official Youtube Channel Hosting Vast Variety Of Their Music

Square Enix has recently launched a new Youtube Music-themed channel, hosting thousands of tracks from their games. Several series are represented here, such as The World Ends with You, the mainline Final Fantasy entries, Chrono Trigger, Mana, NieR, and, of course, everyone’s favorite new Square Enix IP, Balan Wonderworld.

It is worth noting that these tracks are not directly uploaded by the channel, as they are instead taken from the Youtube Music service. However, this is still a significant step for greater music-listening accessibility. Hopefully, more series’ original soundtracks get added, like Kingdom Hearts.

An introduction trailer for the Youtube channel was also uploaded, viewable below:

Recently, Square Enix announced that their upcoming action-adventure title, Forspoken, has received a significant delay. Initially planned to release on May 24, 2022, the game will now be launching on October 11, 2022. The primary reasoning given for this notable occurrence regards the game’s polish, with the team desiring for the product to be in the most qualitative shape possible prior to release.

Forspoken follows Frey as she enters Athia for the first time after being transported from New York City. She then discovers a magical, sentient bracelet has wrapped around her arm. With her new companion, named “Cuff,” Frey navigates the mysterious and sprawling landscapes of Athia in her search for a way home. Forspoken has been designed specifically for the PlayStation 5 and takes advantage of the console to create a game that feels like an authentic next-gen experience.
