Square Enix Visual Novel ‘Elements with Emotions’ Japan Pre-Orders Available Now
Square Enix has just announced that pre-orders for their “friendship bonding simulation adventure” visual novel, Ketsugou Danshi: Elements with Emotions, are now available in Japan. The title will be officially released in the country on June 29, 2023. In addition, a collector’s edition and pre-order bonus were also unveiled.
Those who pre-order the game before August 31, 2023, can obtain a digital data book containing detailed information about the characters, such as their names, profiles, and voice actors. It is worth noting that the base game will only come with four routes: Saku Minamoto (Hydrogen), Eito Yasukata (Oxygen), Rikka Kasumi (Carbon), and Shiki Uroku (Beryllium).
The other six routes will be added as DLC packages, which you can purchase for ¥1100 individually or as part of the All-in-One Package, which costs ¥9,900. Access to those routes will open gradually, according to the schedule below:
- Nanase Tosho (Nitrogen) – June 29
- Misora Ukiishi (Lithium) – July 6
- Kuon Todoroki (Fluorine) – July 13
- Jin Kurogane (Iron) – July 20
- Ichina Shiozuru (Chlorine) – July 27
- Izayoi Seiryu (Sulfur) – August 3
Pre-ordering the DLC All-in-One package will also grant you digital access to the Mini Soundtrack.

Ketsugou Danshi: Elements with Emotions is a brand-new “friendship bonding simulation adventure” visual novel, where players will bond together with the Shikenkan, special boys that wield the elements of the periodic table, as the world comes to an end in 50 days. The player takes on the role of a mediator who has to create various chemical reactions by combining the power of the Shikenkan and fighting against the enemy force. The game is set to release in Japan only for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android in Japan on June 29, 2023. A Western release is unconfirmed as of yet.
