Square Enix Live Action Mystery Adventure ‘The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story’ Now Available on Mobile Devices
Square Enix has announced that their live-action mystery adventure, The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story, is now available on mobile devices via iOS and Android devices for $17.99.
Throughout this game, players witness the tragic tale of the Shijima family, who have experienced many familial deaths over the past 100 years. The protagonist is a mystery novelist named Haruka Kagami, who utilizes her detective prowess to investigate the four deaths that have plagued this family’s history.
High-quality cinematography and live-action gameplay are at the forefront of the experience to immerse players in several eras of Japan. Nanami Sakuraba plays the protagonist, Haruka Kagami, and Yuta Hiraoka plays the Shijima family’s second son, Eiji Shijima. The mobile release features touch-screen controls and unspecified quality-of-life improvements.
The game’s producer, Junichi Ehara, shared the following statement regarding this title’s mobile port:
“We are excited to bring our intricately woven story to mobile devices so that more sleuths can unravel the threads which connect 100 years of mysterious murder cases. We hope players enjoy and become engrossed by this truly unique combination of gameplay and live-action storytelling.”
