Square Enix Promises to Increase Stability for Kingdom Hearts Games on PC; Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix Now Patched

The official Kingdom Hearts Twitter account has announced that Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix has been patched on PC via the Epic Games Store. This patch addresses several unspecified bugs and enhances stability and overall performance.

This is welcome news because the quality of these ports has been mixed among fans. Unfortunately, several issues have plagued these PC versions, such as sound quality being inconsistent, crashes being numerous, and other such quandaries abound.

Of all the titles, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD have been among the most reported by fans with minor bugs and varying other major dilemmas.

Thankfully, Square Enix is finally listening. In addition to this patch for Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, they have stated that they are listening to community feedback and investigating the ports to increase stability across each title. Of course, this is quite the undertaking solely due to the number of titles available on PC, but it is definitely reassuring.

These versions of the games were highly requested and anticipated for an inestimable degree of time for further accessibility. However, seeing the lackluster optimization present in many of these titles was disappointing, so here’s hoping these alterations occur in the near future.

The patch notes can be viewed on Square Enix Support, though they are incredibly brief.
