Square Enix Shares Official Piano Cover of “Neidhart’s Theme” from Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song-

Square Enix has shared a new musical arrangement video; this time focused on their recently resurged turn-based JRPG Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song-. “Neidhart’s Theme,” originally composed by Kenji Ito, has been arranged and performed on piano by Ryota kikuchi.

This was the fourth title in the franchise and an essential step in the series’ evolution. Back on the Super Famicom (the Japanese Super Nintendo), it introduced a non-linear structure to the series and allowed players to pick one of eight protagonists, each with their own background.

Although your character has their own story, exploring the world can vary wildly depending on the player’s choices. Romancing SaGa also features the iconic Glimmer system, allowing characters to learn new skills during battle depending on which weapons and skills they use.

While the original SNES game never made it to the West, its PS2 remake came over. In Japan, this was called Romancing SaGa –Minstrel Songand it’s the version that has been remastered.
