Square Enix Launches October 2023 “Skip” Playlist; 19 Tracks from Final Fantasy, Bravely Default, NieR & More

Square Enix has launched a new monthly music playlist for October 2023 called “Skip.” Tracks from various franchises were specifically chosen for the theme of what one would listen to while trying to keep physically active.

Some standout picks are the Airship Cruise Beats version of J-E-N-O-V-A, Seymour’s battle theme from Final Fantasy X, the Boost arranged version of Octopath Traveler’s battle theme, the battle theme of Bravely Default, “End of the Unknown” from NieR:Automata, and “The Fairy Child” from Secret of Mana.

In total, there are 19 tracks, adding up to around an hour and 11 minutes.

Square Enix has been crafting these monthly playlists for quite a while now, and we’ll at least see two more for November and December 2023.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will launch for PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024, on two discs.

Pre-ordering the game digitally will grant the Moogle Trio Summoning Materia. Further, carrying over save data from Final Fantasy VII Remake will give the Leviathan Summon Materia, while carrying over save data from the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Yuffie episode will grant the Ramuh Summon Materia.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is available on PlayStation 4, with Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, which includes the Yuffie episode, available on PlayStation 5 and PC.
