Square Enix Japan has announced that they are currently hosting a survey for members of their website regarding those who have played through NEO: The World Ends With You. While this survey asks a variety of questions, the most notable one, as pointed out by The World Ends With News on Twitter, is that they are gauging interest in potential new content for The World Ends With You, such as a new entry in the series.
Unfortunately, the survey is currently only available on Square Enix Japan’s website and requires an account to participate in. Thankfully, only a username and e-mail address are required to create an account, so real-life addresses and the like aren’t necessary. With that being the case, if you would like to express your desire for a new title in this still niche series, you can take the survey here. The deadline for the survey is September 28, 2021, at 23:59 JST.
Hopefully, a similar survey will be conducted for other regions of the world so fans worldwide can express their assuredly enthused interest.
UPDATE: Our team’s Ryuji has translated the survey, which can be viewed via this Google Doc. However, it is worth noting that while the majority of the survey has been translated, there are a few questions that have not been touched since some only appear after selecting specific answers. Still, this should be more than adequate for English fans to express their interests.
The story of NEO: The World Ends With You takes place in Shibuya. However, the main protagonist, Rindo, felt like something was off, which leads him to witness a psychic battle in the center of the Scramble Crossing. This is when he’s introduced to the “Reapers’ Game.” Sadly, this game comes with a few life-threatening rules: You cease to exist if you don’t win. So now, Rindo and his friend Fret fight against other players to find a way home.
NEO: The World Ends With You is currently available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
