Square Enix Shares Official Guitar Cover of Chrono Trigger Map Theme, “Wind Scene”
Square Enix has uploaded a new official cover on their music YouTube channel. Ohta Mitsuhiro arranged and performed “Wind Scene” from Chrono Trigger on guitar, initially composed by Yasunori Mitsuda. Additionally, Yohei “Billy” Horiuchi recorded and mixed the performance.
For those unaware, this is Chrono Trigger’s map theme, and it is arguably one of the most well-known and beloved map themes in gaming in its entirety. This cover instills the track with a wholly unique ambiance that feels simultaneously fresh and familiar.
This same guitarist performed a cover of “Robo’s Theme” from the same game last month.
