Spy Drops is heading to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on April 28, bringing the low-poly stealth action game to consoles following its earlier PC release on Steam.
The console versions will be priced at $14.99 and include updates that were introduced post-launch on PC. These additions focus on camera control, visuals, and combat handling, reflecting changes made after early player feedback.
On PS5 and Xbox Series, Spy Drops includes a new orbital camera option that shifts the perspective closer to a third-person view, alongside the original top-down angle. A higher-resolution visual mode is also available, giving players the choice between the game’s original pixel-style look and a cleaner presentation. Shooting has been reworked with a third-person aiming system designed to better align with the updated camera.
The console release also includes Standalone Mode and online rankings, expanding on the game’s replay structure and competitive elements.
For context, these updates were previously rolled out in a major Steam patch following the game’s rough initial launch. That update addressed player concerns around camera visibility and controls, while also refining gameplay systems and overall readability during missions.
Spy Drops is a PlayStation-era-inspired stealth game featuring randomized mission layouts, multiple environments, and both solo and local multiplayer options. Players infiltrate enemy bases to complete objectives like gathering intel or rescuing targets, with stealth typically offering safer outcomes than direct combat.
The developer, Rainy Night Creations, has also announced Spy Drops Gaiden, a side project set in the same universe with a Game Boy-style presentation, though it currently has no release window.
