This morning, the official Twitter account of Nintendo of Europe confirmed that all basic weapons from Splatoon 1 and Splatoon 2 will be returning in Splatoon 3. The tweet’s image shows various weapons from those games, such as the Squelcher, the N-ZAP ’85, the Splattershot Pro, among others. Whether their status or their special weapon kits will be retained however, is unknown.
Furthermore, the official Splatoon Twitter account has showcased a thread containing various weapons that are confirmed for the game, with the Splattershot, Splattershot Jr., and the .96 Gal currently confirmed, but with more weapons down the line.
Splatoon 3 is the brand-new sequel to Splatoon 2. In this new game in the Splatoon series, you’ll leave Inkopolis behind and head to a new region: the Splatlands. Its heart is a new city where battle-savvy Inklings and Octolings gather: Splatsville, also known as the “City of Chaos.”
In addition, Splatoon 3 introduces various features to the action-shooter series, including weapons such as the bow-weapon, customization options, and movement abilities to bring to the returning 4v4 Turf Wars matches. Splatoon 3 will release exclusively on Nintendo Switch on September 9.
