Spirit Hunter: NG Gameplay Preview – The Horror Continues

Recently, Aksys Games announced they will launch the Experience developed horror visual novel Spirit Hunter: NG on PlayStation 4, PS Vita, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam on October 10.

NG is a visual novel adventure where players must work together with other characters if they hope to survive the threat of angry spirits appearing around town. Different from the previous title, players are now able to interact more with the cast through dialogue with a new judging system. This allows players to choose a reaction to something the characters say by choosing from a series of facial expressions. Additionally, the choice system has returned where players must quickly react to a situation by answering the right questions if they want to live.

NG can also be experienced by those who don’t enjoy horror titles with the game’s new jump scare meter. This gives players the ability to adjust the jump scare within the game, but the developer does not hold back when it comes to them trying to spook the player.

During gameplay, players will be able to investigate environments as they piece together clues to put the spirits to rest. The game features some fairly graphic CG scenes along with a unique cast of characters who we can’t wait to get to know more about.

Spirit Hunter: NG is the second entry in the Spirit Hunter series, with the first title being Death Mark. The story follows a young man on a life-threatening quest to discover who, or what is responsible for the disappearance of his little sister. To save her, he will need to team up with shady characters and make difficult decisions to alter the outcome of the entire game. Based on choices made, players will encounter spirits that could lead to a deadly end.
