Spike Chunsoft Hosts Stellar Switch Summer Sale with Steins;Gate, Robotics;Notes, AI: The Somnium Files and More

Publisher Spike Chunosft is currently hosting a Summer sale on the Nintendo Switch eShop, with numerous visual novels and other titles being considerably discounted. This sale is now live on both the North American and European eShops, though it concludes on June 21 for the former and June 27 for the latter.

Two visual novels now discounted to 50% off each are Robotics;Notes Elite and Robotics;Notes DaSH. These titles are entries in the critically acclaimed Science Adventure series, with Robotics;Notes Elite being the first of this saga of entries and Robotics;Notes DaSH being Elite’s direct sequel. We have reviewed Elite and DaSH back when they simultaneously released as well.

Speaking of Science Adventure titles, Steins;Gate Elite, Steins;Gate 0, and Steins;Gate Darling’s Embrace are all each discounted to 50% off. Elite retells the original Steins;Gate visual novel with some alterations, such as the art style being ripped straight from the beloved anime adaption. 0 is quite a spoiler to describe the premise of, but it directly ties into the original Steins;Gate and is best played after having experienced that entry. Lastly, Darling’s Embrace is a spinoff with slapstick, romantic comedy.

Hit visual novel AI: The Somnium Files is on sale for 60% off. This is a detective thriller written by the legendary Kotaro Uchikoshi, known for his work on the Zero Escape franchise. There is also stellar artwork drawn by Yusuke Kozaki, a prominent artist known for their work on No More Heroes and Fire Emblem. Be sure to check out our review of the title back when it was initially released on PlayStation 4.

There are other visual novels from the publisher on sale. Still, the non-visual novel games on sale on the eShop at the moment are PixelJunk Monsters 2, Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate, and KATANA KAMI: A Way of the Samurai Story.
