Silent Clowns launched a demo for their text simulation mystery game Speak Lies in development for PC.
Speak Lies tells the story of the player who has downloaded a suspicious program from the internet that turned out to be a messaging app. In hopes of finding a friend, probably a lover, the player boots up the app and regrets everything. As soon as the app opens you see a suicide take place and are forced to participate in a strange ritual.
Speak Lies takes place in an all-girls boarding school called Vistine Academy. The game plays out like an interactive mystery where the place must discover the truth behind 10 curses and investigate a series of unfortunate happenings. However, it is also possible to just sit back and watch the world around you go to hell as the people around you begin to suffer. Players will get to understand the character and world around them as they interact with the app and dive deeper into how and why it appeared on their device.
The developer has shared a free demo of the game with an update coming in November 2019.
