During Gamescom 2019, Nintendo shined a bright light on Sparklite, the upcoming action-adventure roguelite from developer Red Blue Games and publisher Merge Games — coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via-Steam this October.

Revealed during the show was a new gameplay trailer to give gave us a glimpse of what to expect in this charming adventure. In addition, the Red Blue Games team released a new video that’s focused on Ada, the hero of Sparklite.

For the gameplay trailer, it gives us a deep dive into the many weapons and gadgets Ada will need to use across five diverse procedurally generated biomes.

From either harnessing the power of the Boom Balloon which allows Ada to quickly dispatch enemies with remote control precision, to Ada’s own handy Multi-Tool Wrench, Sparklite will have any tool or weapon you need to overcome any obstacle. Furthermore, the trailer showcases Sparkmaster Rizzle’s trusty Workshop of Wonders open in town, in which Ada can access to upgrade her arsenal for the enemies and puzzles that lie ahead.

The devs will also be there too and having met them at GDC, I can definitely say that they’re a good group of guys to chat with. Speaking of the devs, they’ll be part of the “Monsters of Indie” Superstar Dev Panel on Sunday, September 1st at 1:30 pm in the Sandworm Theatre in the Sheraton Hotel, Seattle.
