Roguelite Adventure ‘Sparklite’ Gets New Gameplay Trailer and Details

Merge Games released a new trailer for the Red Blue Games developed roguelite adventure Sparklite, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam in fall 2019.

The trailer gives players a preview of Sparklite‘s top-down action systems where players will need to explore dungeons and take down titans of the mining industry. Currently, these miners are extractive the life force of the planet, a power that can be channeled and uses for one’s own gain or used to gain the upper hand.

Evidently, the Baron, has begun mining the world of Sperklite’s core in order to fuel his powerful war machines. However, pollution emitted from this is corrupting the world and seemingly turned animals into violent monsters. Players assume the role of Ada, who will travel from zone to zone and put a stop to the Baron’s plans before its too late.

Additionally, the publisher released new screenshots giving a closer look at the game’s pixel design and levels shown in the trailer.

Author’s take: I really like the look of these games. More specifically, I like the environments that the developers have created and can’t wait to see more of the levels closer to the game’s launch.
