Drastic Games announced their debut title Soundfall, a action adventure game with rhythm mechanics, in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox one, Nintendo Switch, and PC with a release scheduled for 2019.
Soundfall tells the story of main protagonist Melody, a young “audiophile” who finds herself in “Symphonia”, which is a world where music comes to life. Throughout her adventure, Melody will encounter allies who wield abilities as well as legendary weapons to use against any hurdle they encounter.
Gameplay will feature music as the core mechanics. Players will use music to travel through various dungeons, where traps and enemies block the path.
Soundfall is developed using Epic’s Unreal Engine. More information and details about the game will come soon. Drastic Games is a new studio comprised of developers from Epic Games, their mission statement:
We’re here to deliver players a binary fueled typhoon of entertainment, with enough pixel powered lightning in a bottle to shock even the most zealous Tesla enthusiast.

Author’s take: As soon as I saw this game I felt the need to share it with everyone. I can’t wait to learn more! I was hoping to see a PlayStation Vita announcement, but sadly the time for that machine is coming to an end.
