Soul Hackers 2 Summoners Guide Vol. 1 Discusses Combat, Customization & Arrow’s Characterization
Soul Hackers 2 has shared a new trailer called Summoner’s Guide Vol 1, detailing beginner gameplay mechanics. Weaknesses and general affinities are highlighted alongside the Stack mechanic. A maneuver called Sabbath causes all demons to attack foes at once, similar to All-Out Attacks from the Persona games. A max of 16 demons can be stacked at once. Supportive effects called Tandem Skills are detailed, which can harm foes with status ailments, provide healing, and more. Equipment customization and other skills are shown in action too.
Near the end of the stream, Ringo discusses the party members, with Arrow receiving intricate focus. Ringo describes him as being an earnest and honest man, though it does get him into conflict with others such as fellow party member, Milady.
He looks up to top-level summoner and Yatagarsu member Raven as a mentor figure of sorts. However, he now works at an orphanage. Another close figure to Arrow is Kaburagi, a Devil Summoner of the Phantom Society who actually killed Arrow before Ringo revived him.

For those unaware, Soul Hackers is a Shin Megami Tensei offshoot that last released for the 3DS, under Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers. Initially, Soul Hackers was considered an entry in the Devil Summoner subseries of Shin Megami Tensei games. However, with Soul Hackers 2, it is now its own series while still retaining some ties to the subfranchise.
Atlus West has announced that the game will have the option to choose between English and Japanese audio, with English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish subtitle options also being selectable, providing greater audience accessibility.
Soul Hackers 2 will release on August 26, 2022, on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. View the official website for more information.
