Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has recently updated to version 13.0.0, which includes the final DLC fighter of the title, Sora from Kingdom Hearts. Sora’s character pack comes with Sora himself, the Hollow Bastion stage, the 9 music tracks (10 if one has save data from Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory on their Switch), and his own classic mode route.
Sora is included in Fighter’s Pass 2, which can be purchased for $29.99 and also includes Min Min from the ARMS game, Steve & Alex from Minecraft, Sephiroth from the Final Fantasy VII series, Pyra/Mythra from the Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Kazuya from Tekken. Sora can also be purchased separately for $5.99.
With Sora’s inclusion, DLC content for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been concluded. This is certainly a bittersweet moment in gaming history, as hype for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate content has been a consistent fuel of hype since its initial announcement several years ago. Still, it is nice to see Sakurai hopefully take a rest, either from game development entirely or specifically just from Super Smash Bros content. Regardless, this title has cemented itself as a culturally defining game and will undoubtedly be looked back upon fondly in the coming years.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now available on Nintendo Switch.
