Sega has unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, showcasing new footage and confirming the arrival of several playable characters. A release date of September 25, 2025, was also stated.
Hatsune Miku, Ichiban Kasuga, and Joker from Persona 5 have been revealed as playable characters for the game. Steve, Alex, and the Creeper from Minecraft have also been confirmed as third-party playable characters.
A Sonic Prime character pack and Werehog pack from Sonic Unleashed were shown, too, with Minecraft part of a Season Pass. Pre-orders grant three days of early access.

About Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds
This entry will feature iconic characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog and Sega universes while also introducing a distinct racing mechanic.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds brings back courses that include land, air, and sea terrain, as well as the never-before-seen Travel Rings feature that affects the race in real-time by transporting racers to all-new CrossWorlds during the race.
This game also features the most extensive roster of characters in any Sonic racing game, as well as a wide variety of customizable vehicles. Players can mix and match vehicle parts, powers, and abilities to create a customized racing experience suited to their gameplay style.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will be released on September 25, 2025, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
