Sonic Origins Plus Announced for June 2023; Features 12 Game Gear Titles, Playable Amy & More

Sega has officially announced Sonic Origins Plus, the definitive version of last year’s Sonic Origins, featuring a plethora of new content. For instance, fans can look forward to playable Classic Amy and 12 Sonic Game Gear games.

Additionally, new modes and challenges will be implemented alongside HD widescreen for the Genesis games. Knuckles will be playable in Sonic CD, too.

This new package will receive a physical release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, on June 23, 2023. It will include a “20-page artbook and a reversible coversheet that pays homage to the classic 1990s era of Sonic.”

Further, a digital bundle and Plus expansion pass upgrade will be made available on the same date for all platforms, but pricing has not been specified.
