Sonic and AiAi Cook Banana Chili Cheese Dogs in Official Video (Yes, You Read That Correctly)

The official Sonic the Hedgehog Youtube channel has shared a brand new video in the Cooking with AiAi series, consisting of AiAi from Super Monkey Ball cooking a Banana Chili Cheese Dog with Sonic. And, yes, it is as gross as it sounds. Still, there is an undeniably cutesy charm emitted by these Sonic and AiAi plushes that somehow makes the prospect of a Banana Chili Dog seem somewhat appealing…?

You can view the video of Sonic and AiAi cooking this Mystery Food X level concoction below. There is an admirable effort put into this production with charming transitions and provided visuals with directions.

The latest entry in the Super Monkey Ball series, Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania, brings back elements from the franchise’s past that many have been longing for well over a decade as it contains remasters of Super Monkey BallSuper Monkey Ball 2, and Super Monkey Ball Deluxe. This package includes over 300 levels and 12 minigames for veterans and newcomers to sink dozens of hours into. In addition, the remastered effort has been faithfully developed as an enhanced version of the original with new graphics and content.

The latest entries of the Super Monkey Ball franchise have not been particularly well-received by fans; in fact, the majority, if not all of the titles post Gamecube era, have received overwhelmingly negative reactions from the fanbase. In a similar vein to Sonic Mania, perhaps, this package likely aims to be a soft reboot for the Super Monkey Ball franchise, and what better method of doing so than delving back in the past to revive the glory days?

Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
