Sonic Adventure 2 Sonic & Shadow Figure Available for Pre-Order; Releasing June 2024

GoodSmile has announced that pre-orders are now available for the “Sonic the Hedgehog Super Situation Figure Sonic Adventure 2.” Sculpted and painted by Kodomonoyakata Co. and manufactured by Sega, this stunning recreation of Sonic Adventure 2’s box art was crafted via a partnership between S-FIRE and Sonic Team. The former’s “realistic modeling technology and vibrant color techniques” significantly aided in selling the nostalgic realism of this item.

Further, a diorama scene is included alongside “two translucent colored effect parts that convey the blazing sense of speed and airflow surrounding the duo.” Play AR compatibility is also planned.

You can pre-order the figure from GoodSmile Global’s shop for ¥44,000, ahead of its planned June 2024 release. However, keep in mind that pre-orders are only available until August 24, 2023, at 12:00 Japan Standard Time.

Sonic Superstars is a brand-new 2D adventure featuring Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy, taking place on the North Star Islands. New gameplay features include the Emerald Powers when Chaos Emeralds are acquired, such as enabling the ability to create clones or climb waterfalls.

Further, the visuals have received a notable upgrade, and Fang the Sniper from older Sonic the Hedgehog comics and video games, such as Sonic the Hedgehog Triple Trouble, will appear as an antagonist in Sonic Superstars.

Classic Sonic the Hedgehog designer Naoto Oshima has returned with a brand new villain. Fans can also anticipate “movements, physics, and controls feel familiar and appeal to recent and legacy fans alike.” Local four-player co-op will be available throughout the entire story, too.
