Solar Ash Delayed to Ensure the Game is Released in its “Best Form”

Annapurna Interactive announced that the Heart Machine-developed action rogue-like Solar Ash will be delayed to December 2, 2021, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC-via the Epic Games Store.

The cause for the delay is so the developer can have enough time to optimize the experience for players and release the game in its best form. It’s nice to see that the developer understands this and gives themselves some breathing room to deliver the experience they wish for players to have.

Solar Ash is the second game from Heart Machine, the creators of the award-winning 2016 game Hyper Light Drifter. Players will journey through a surreal, vivid, and highly stylized world filled with mystery, wild high-speed traversal, endearing characters, and massive enemy encounters. Players take on the role of a Voidrunner named Rei, who traverses through these dangerous biomes.

We’ll keep you updated on the release of Solar Ash.

In the meantime, if you missed the latest trailer briefly showcasing more of the distinct environments players will find themselves exploring, you can watch it now.

Let us know what you think about game delays or if you’re anticipating the release of Solar Ash in the comments below. We’re in the camp of being okay with fewer games released as we attempt to beat the ones we are currently playing.
