Tactical Shooter ‘Sniper Elite 3 Unlimited Edition’ Gets Nintendo Switch Release Date
Rebellion announced that their tactical-shooter Sniper Elite 3 Unlimited Edition will release on Nintendo Switch on October 1, available both digitally and physically.
Sniper Elite 3 Unlimited Edition will contain all of the content that has ever been released for the game, including four additional campaign levels which includes historical missions that have the player assassinate Churchill and eliminate the Führer.
New features add to the Switch version of the game includes local co-op and multiplayer, both online and offline. Players will be able to connect their Switch units over local wireless to buddy up through the entire campaign in a 2-player local co-op mode as well as take on Overwatch and Survival Modes. There’s also the option to face off against friends in local competitive multiplayer for up to 4 players. The game also utilizes the Switch’s gyroscope controls to fine-tune the player’s aiming. Additionally, there will be pro controller support at launch.
Sniper Elite 3 Unlimited Edition takes place during World War 2 in North Africa 1942. Players will take on missions the finds them stalking the infamous Afrika Korps across oases, canyons, and various cities as they must do whatever they can to sabotage a Nazi superweapon. Players must learn to use traps and stealthy takedowns to take out their targets, but the game all boils down to the sharpshooting where players will need to master gravity, wind speed, and their heart rate to get the kill.
The developer released a new trailer to give players an idea of what the game looks like running on Switch hardware.
