Dangen Entertainment announced that the X Plus-developed strategy action-platformer, Smelter, has received a new demo on PC-via Steam.
Along with the demo, the publisher released a new gameplay trailer that shows the game’s strategic and action elements that closely resemble ActRaiser. The trailer gives players a preview of the various environments and enemies that they will encounter on this adventure as well as a look at the 16-bit presentation.
In Smelter, players assume the role of Eve, who is trying to uncover the mystery behind Adam’s sudden disappearance only to discover a mysterious talking warmer that goes by the name Smelter. This armor grants her superpowers and allows her to take on the many challenges headed her way.
During gameplay, players can fight, climb walls, dash, and utilize special abilities provided by the armor. Alternatively, the game shifts to an overhead tactical battlefield where players control Smelter on-screen with his faithful Zirm forces and must strategically prevent swarms of enemies, expand his territory, and build his mighty base in real time.
A new demo is available now on Steam that contains new story content and two new stages. Additionally, players will fine a revamped tutorial, visual updates, six new trials, and two new elemental skills.
