Slime Tactics Gets Surprise Global Release on Nintendo Switch

Circle Entertainment and Flyhigh Works announced that Slime Tactics will release on the Nintendo Switch eShop on April 11 for $9.99.

As a successor to Ambition of the Slimes, Slime Tactics continues where its predecessor’s left off. Players must find a way to strengthen the most “weakest” enemy in the game, Slimes, and lead them into battle. Slimes come in a variety of different colors with various skills.

The game plays out close to a tactic RPG where players make their way across maps and attack enemies. The battles play out in real time which means players will need to act quickly and react to enemy advancements. Throughout the game, new slimes will join the party and introduce new abilities to use in order to get out of tough situations. Being a strategy game, players can expect some tough battles awaiting them.

The publisher also released a new gameplay trailer where players can get a preview of the game’s maps and enemies. The game features pixel designed characters and stages that are reminiscent of early Nintendo titles, but with a modern appeal.

Author’s take: I love these kinds of games and they work great as time sinks on the Nintendo Switch. I can’t wait to give this one a try.
