Publisher Skystone Games and developer Streetlamp Studio have announced that their 3D anime-styled roguelike action platformer, SlashZero, now has a limited playtest on Steam until April 9, 2026. Additionally, it is limited to 5,000 users. A new trailer was also posted to promote this measure.
SlashZero places players in the role of a Timehacker stuck within an unstable time loop. As players navigate timelines, they must learn the cause of time’s collapse and travel across parallel realities to reset history.
The game features side-scrolling action in 3D environments, emphasizing vertical movement and mobility in combat. Players will use aerial abilities, charged attacks, and various movement techniques to traverse stages. Each run takes place in procedurally generated areas designed to present different environmental layouts, challenges, and combinations of power-ups.
Streetlamp Studio describes the project as a “Triple I” production, highlighting its visuals and animation while maintaining an independent development scale.
SlashZero is in development for PC and consoles.
