Skul: The Hero Slayer Launches Its 1.0 Version for Steam On January 2021

Developer SouthPAW games and publisher NEOWIZ have announced that their hit indie rogue-lite, Skul: The Hero Slayer, will be officially launching its 1.0 version for Steam on January 21, 2021.

You can view the initial teaser trailer for this 1.0 update below:

This title has been playable via Early Access since February 2020, and it currently boasts over 7K reviews with an overall rating of 93% positivity. While the title has received several updates throughout its duration as an Early Access title, the upcoming 1.0 update is promised to be the most substantial one yet. The final two chapters and several cutscenes will be added in, thereby completing Skul’s story. 50+ new playable characters will be featured as well, thanks to the title’s new upgrade system.

Sang Woo Park, the CEO of SouthPAW Games, had this to say regarding this monumental update:

“We’re really looking forward to sharing this update with our community and seeing how they like the new content. It’s been a couple of months since our last update, but we think the wait will be worth it. The 1.0 patch will be pretty massive and completely transform the game.”

The SouthPAW Games team intends to continue updating and expanding upon the PC version for the foreseeable future. Still, they’re also planning on releasing the indie rogue-lite for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in early 2021.
