Yoko Taro’s ‘SINoALICE’ Gets Western Release Date and Reveals NieR: Automata Collaboration
Nexon has announced that Yoko Taro’s SINoALICE will launch as a free-to-play title on iOS and Android devices on July 18.
Codeveloped by Square Enix and Pokelabo, SINoALICE will receive a collaboration with Yoko Taro’s other title, NieR: Automata, with more details about the collaboration coming soon. However, the creator teased that it will involve characters 2B and 9S.
SINoALICE supassed one million pre-registration, which opened the door for special rewards for players who participated, which is a special SS character. While the game launched in Japan in 2017, it has acquired over four million downloads before it’s a global launch.
SINoALICE is a retelling of classic fairy tales set in a fantasy world created by none other than Yoko Taro, who served as creative director on the project. The game follows several characters based on fairy tales as they must work together to fight enemies and solve puzzles in order to save the storytellers that created their world.
Additionally, you can check out the SINoALICE collaboration video with NieR: Automata showing character illustration and gameplay from the upcoming event. There is also a video of Yoko Taro giving his impressions of the game. However, it is on Facebook.
