Silent Hill Transmission Announced by Konami; Brings New Updates This Week

Konami has revealed through their official Twitter account that new updates on the beloved horror series Silent Hill is coming this week. The SILENT HILL Transmission will air on October 19th, at 2:00 PM PDT and it’ll be shown on the franchise’s official site.

Silent Hill is a traditional survival horror series that started back in 1999 on the original PlayStation. The franchise has been dormant since the playable teaser, P.T., for PS4, which was supposed to become a Hideo Kojima game called Silent Hills but was canceled.

Recently, there have been rumors of Konami working on reviving the brand with titles from many external studios. This claim hasn’t been confirmed or denied by the company but it’s likely we’ll have a better grasp on their veracity during this upcoming event.

Last month, The Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea has rated a new Silent Hill game called Silent Hill: The Short Message. The publisher listed there is UNIANA, which handles Konami’s titles in Korea including arcade cabinets.

We’ll let you know the latest news on this revival of the Silent Hill series and what it entails as Konami shares more information this wednesday. Hopefully, it will be exciting news for the fans who have long been starving new content besides some random skateboard and merch.
