Shovel Knight Dig Gets Switch, PC, and Apple Arcade Release Date in September

Yacht Club Games announced that the Nitrome-developed adventure Shovel Knight Dig will launch on Nintendo Switch, Apple Arcade, and PC via Steam on September 23, 2022.

Shovel Knight Dig is a new adventure in the Shovel Knight universe with some interesting mechanics. Players will need to drill to the depths of the world to unearth treasures and fight off formidable enemies.

The story follows Shovel Knight, who has just been robbed by Drill Knight. So, he sets out to seek revenge with his Shovel Blade and journeys underground to stop them. However, he and Shield Knight find out that there’s more in the depths than they could have imagined.

Shovel Knight Dig features new characters and boss encounters as players dig deeper into the levels. Players will need to strategically travel down, collecting loot and fighting off enemies along the way. The game features an original story with skill upgrades for Shovel Knight as you progress through the levels. Further, Jake Kaufman returns to deliver an awesome soundtrack that fans of the series have come to love. This is the first collaboration between Yacht Club Games and Nitrome.
