Shop Atlus Beta Launching Later Today; Persona 25th Anniversary Product Planned

Publisher and developer Atlus has announced that their new digital storefront, Shop Atlus, will launch its beta today at 5 PM PST/ 8 PM EST. This store was announced back in September of this year, with a special Persona 25-year anniversary product being promised. In addition, the shop’s Twitter profile states that worldwide shipping will be available, too, so fans from across the globe can look forward to purchasing merchandise.

Speaking of Atlus, the latest mainline entry in the Shin Megami Tensei franchise, Shin Megami Tensei V, has recently launched for Nintendo Switch.

Shin Megami Tensei V takes place after a murder occurs in modern-day Tokyo that blocks the game’s protagonist from walking home. The detour may have been due to fate or another force, but he finds himself buried and unconscious.

When he awakens, he finds himself in a new Tokyo, a wasteland after the apocalypse known as Da’at’. He quickly finds out that he’s’ not alone, as demons are closing in on his location. However, a mighty being known as a Nahobino appears and saves him. With this power, the protagonist can venture through Da’at’ and hopefully get some answers about what happened to his former home.
