About The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon
Trails Beyond the Horizon picks up after the events of Trails through Daybreak II, as Calvard prepares to launch Operation Startaker—a massive space exploration initiative spearheaded by the nation’s 23rd president, Roy Gramheart. The program aims to send communications satellites into orbit via Orbal Rockets, with an eye toward human space travel and tackling environmental crises from a higher vantage point.
This entry also features three selectable protagonist routes, similar to Trails into Reverie and somewhat like Trails through Daybreak II. Van Arkride, Rean Schwarzer, and Kevin Graham spearhead these routes.
Combat receives another overhaul, refining the real-time and turn-based hybrid system introduced in previous entries. The new Awakening System plays a crucial role, enabling characters like Van to transform into his Grendel form and Dominions to activate their Stigma abilities during battle.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon will be released in the West in Fall 2025 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
