Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate Confirms December Release for Switch and PC; Limited Run Games to Publish Physical Switch Release
Spike Chunsoft announced that Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate will launch for Nintendo Switch and PC-Steam on December 2.
The publisher revealed that this will be the digital-only release, and fans can pre-order the game on the respective digital storefronts. The team also revealed that Limited Rung Games would publish the physical Switch release with more information coming soon. Fans can expect a limited edition to be revealed.
Additionally, the publisher released a new trailer that gives an overview of the gameplay systems and updates to this new version.
Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate will release with new bonus dungeons including, Bladeless Wasteland, which removes weapon drops and requires players to use arrows, rocks, and other ranged attacks, Cloister of Certain Doom, a dungeon that must be completed in several turns, Garden of Destiny, gives players experience depending on how quickly you defeat an enemy.
The Steam release will also include the series’ history in the Music Collection menu and a new mode called Live Display Mode that has been optimized for streaming.
Additionally, the game will have new features, including Music Collection and a new UI that displays status, items, equipment, abilities, gameplay time, and turns spent in the dungeon. This version of the game will also allow players to request others’ help after they fall in a dungeon.
The story follows a legend that has Reeva, the god of Destiny, deciding the fate of mankind with a trio of magic dice. Players assume the role of Shiren with the help of his sidekick Koppa on a quest to conquer the Tower of Fortune. The game is an updated version of the Vita release.
