Shiren the Wanderer Reveals Mobile & Desktop Wallpapers Depicting Asuka
Spike Chunsoft has shared new wallpapers celebrating the announcement of their upcoming roguelike dungeon crawler Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island. Previously, the company posted wallpapers representing the franchise, while these newer desktop and mobile ones depict Asuka from Shiren the Wanderer 2: Shiren’s Castle and the Oni Invasion (thanks, @Bo_deWindt).

Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island is a brand new entry in the roguelike dungeon-crawling series featuring protagonist Shiren and the talking ferret, Koppa. After seeing a vision of a girl held captive by a monster, the duo makes their way to Serpentcoil Island, which is rumored to have once been the stronghold of pirates who amassed a plethora of treasure.
In the stronghold, Shiren and Koppa are defeated by the monster who is holding the girl. But in typical roguelike fashion, they don’t give up and strive to become stronger so they can prevail. Shiren and Koppa will explore many dungeons, though it’s worth noting that should you fall, all of Shiren’s experience and equipment will become lost. Moreover, dungeons are procedurally generated, and players will meet several characters on the island, each with their own objectives.
