Shinobi and Fantasy Zone Reveal Switch Release for Later This Month With Added Features

Sega revealed that Shinobi and Fantasy Zone will launch digitally via the Nintendo Switch eShop on January 23.

Shinobi is a classic side-scrolling platformer where players assume the role of ninjutsu master Joe Musashi, as he single-handedly sets out to rescue the kidnapped children of the Oboro clan from ZEED.

Shinobi will include an AGES mode that gives players a white-robed Musashi with extra health and damage along with a Melee button that gets rid of up-close enemies. Additionally, players can use the reverse time feature to fix any deadly mistakes.

Fantasy Zone is a cute ’em up where a space warrior Opa-Opa sets out on a journey for revenge. Players will need to defeat waves of enemies while dodging bullets and collecting power-ups and coins to get through this adventure.

This title will have a Coin Stock assist feature to get players through the game along with an added Time Attack mode, extra bosses, and the option to play as Opa-Opa’s brother, Upa-Upa.

Both titles will include the Sega Ages treatment, which includes replays, online leaderboards, and additional options for players to utilize.
