SEGA is gearing up for the launch of SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance on August 29, 2025, and the publisher isn’t holding back when it comes to surprises. A new DLC tease confirms that Joe Musashi will be clashing with some of SEGA’s most iconic villains, with Dr. Eggman stepping in as the first challenger in the upcoming SEGA Villains Stage. Shinobi: Art of Vengeance will launch on August 29, 2025, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
The DLC is set to arrive in early 2026, and players who pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition will get a 10% discount and access to the expansion when it launches. More villain appearances are expected, though SEGA is keeping those names under wraps for now.
YDB Brings New Energy to Shinobi with Original Track and Apparel Drop
The crossover of martial arts and hip-hop culture has long been a hallmark of Wu-Tang Clan, and that influence now extends to SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance. Young Dirty Bastard (YDB), son of the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard and a member of the Wu Legacy, is teaming up with SEGA to deliver an original track titled “The Path Just Begun,” inspired by the Shinobi series.
The song hits streaming platforms on August 21, 2025. Alongside the release, SEGA will debut a new video blending YDB’s lyricism with gameplay footage from Art of Vengeance, spotlighting the intersection of classic ninja aesthetics and hip-hop energy. The collaboration also expands into fashion through YDB’s apparel brand Dirty Magic, which now features a limited-time Shinobi collection on Amazon.
Speedrunners Take on the Ninja Legacy Challenge

Running until August 24, 2025, the event invites players to test their speedrunning skills across SHINOBI III: Return of the Ninja Master and the playable demo for Art of Vengeance.
