Shin Megami Tensei V Set to Have Simultaneous Global Release on Switch in 2021

Atlus released new details for their upcoming RPG Shin Megami Tensei V, in development exclusively for Nintendo Switch for a global 2021 release.

Shin Megami Tensei V is set in a world where the order has crumbled, and chaos reigns across the regions. The game is set in modern-day Tokyo and will feature a return of classic SMT systems such as fusing demons along with new systems.

Shin Megami Tensei V is being produced by Kazuyuki Yamai, who previously directed Shin Megami Tensei IV. The game will be heavily focused on characters who spend their days doing the mundane tasks of dealing with unemployment to the stressful nature surrounding terrorism.

Shin Megami Tensei V is being developed in Unreal Engine 4 and will feature a new main protagonist. The developer released a new trailer that reveals the protagonist, who has been shown the chaotic world and the future that may be. However, a demon appears who might be able to help and change the fate of humanity.
