Shin Megami Tensei V Daily Demon Video #94 Showcases Youngest Sister of Fate Clotho

The official Youtube channel for Atlus Japan has shared the 94th Daily Demon video for the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V. This entry highlights the youngest Moirae sister, Clotho. The Moirae sisters are alternatively and better known as the sisters of fate in Greek Myth who have a collectively significant impact. Clotho, in particular, spins the thread weaving life, thereby giving birth to it. In addition to essentially birthing lives at her discretion, Clotho can also determine who, among both gods and mortals, would live or die at any given time.

Clotho wields Makarakarn and Mediarama, making her a support demon with notable efficacy at healing and generally protecting allies. She has appeared in the Shin Megami Tensei titles from Nocturne onward and the Persona titles from Persona 3 onward.

Shin Megami Tensei V takes place after a murder occurs in modern-day Tokyo that blocks the game’s protagonist from walking home. The detour may have been due to fate or another force, but he finds himself buried and unconscious.

When he awakens, he finds himself in a new Tokyo, a wasteland after the apocalypse known as Da’at. He quickly finds out that he’s not alone, as demons are closing in on his location. However, a mighty being known as a Nahobino appears and saves him. With this power, the protagonist can venture through Da’at and hopefully get some answers about what happened to this former home.

Shin Megami Tensei V is releasing for Nintendo Switch on November 12, 2021.
