Shin Megami Tensei V Daily Demon Video #92 Showcases The Heavenly Alarming Female Ame no Uzume

The official Youtube channel for Atlus Japan has shared the 92nd Daily Demon video for the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V. This entry highlights Ame no Uzume, a goddess of several aspects of life such as meditation, arts, and dawn in Shinto religion. She is known for tricking the sun goddess Amaterasu to rejoin divinity following the latter’s dangerous occurrence with Susano-o. The two titles Ame no Uzume is most known for are ‘The Great Persuader’ and ‘The Heavenly Alarming Female.’

Ame no Uzume wields Tarukaja, Mazio, and other skills, making her a magic-reliant demon with a gift for enhancing physical combative prowess. She is practically an iconic franchise mainstay, too, having appeared in several Shin Megami Tensei and Persona games.

Shin Megami Tensei V takes place after a murder occurs in modern-day Tokyo that blocks the game’s protagonist from walking home. The detour may have been due to fate or another force, but he finds himself buried and unconscious.

When he awakens, he finds himself in a new Tokyo, a wasteland after the apocalypse known as Da’at. He quickly finds out that he’s not alone, as demons are closing in on his location. However, a mighty being known as a Nahobino appears and saves him. With this power, the protagonist can venture through Da’at and hopefully get some answers about what happened to this former home.

Shin Megami Tensei V is releasing for Nintendo Switch on November 12, 2021.
