Shin Megami Tensei V Daily Demon Video #70 Showcases The Personification of Luck Fortuna
The official Youtube channel for Atlus Japan has shared the 70th Daily Demon video for the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V. This entry highlights Fortuna, the daughter of Jupiter and Venus, and goddess of fortune and luck in Roman mythology. Interestingly, she was formerly a goddess regarding agriculture. Moreover, besides being a goddess treated with significance by the common people daily, her existence eventually merged with the Egyptian goddess Isis.
Fortuna has been in her fair share of Shin Megami Tensei and Persona games, and in her trailer here, she wields Sukukaja, an evasion/hit-rate buff, Dia, the first stage heal, and Zan, the first stage wind damaging spell, making her a demon intended for use in the early game.
You can view the Shin Megami Tensei V Daily Demon video introducing Fortuna below:
Shin Megami Tensei V takes place after a murder occurs in modern-day Tokyo that blocks the game’s protagonist from walking home. The detour may have been due to fate or another force, but he finds himself buried and unconscious.
When he awakens, he finds himself in a new Tokyo, a wasteland after the apocalypse known as Da’at. He quickly finds out that he’s not alone, as demons are closing in on his location. However, a mighty being known as a Nahobino appears and saves him. With this power, the protagonist can venture through Da’at and hopefully get some answers about what happened to this former home.
Shin Megami Tensei V is releasing for Nintendo Switch on November 12, 2021.
